It’s almost time!

Halloween is my favorite time of the year. Seriously, I LOVE Halloween. I love the fall, I love the colors, I love the feeling, I love ‘cuddle weather’. Everything about this time of the year truly makes life a little better. This year for Halloween I’m going to be a ‘Sexy Captain Swashbuckler’ even though it’s like, not sexy at all. It’s just a really cool jacket style pirate costume. When it’s all done, I’ll post some more photos of the finished costume. I won’t be wearing a hat because I don’t like hats. Maybe a bandanna or something, I don’t know, we’ll see what happens. So here is a preview of what the dress looks like. I bought a petticoat for it, also, so it’s going to be even POOFIER on the bottom.

Look, what a surprise, I changed my hair color again! I used Jerome Russell Punky Colour in: Rose Red and Violet. I am in love with this. I am very pleased, it was totally spontaneous as well. (yes, i had to add two pictures of my hair.)

Lastly, my friend Erin and I made Adventure Time Cupcakes. My favorite one is Peppermint Butler, followed by Lady Rainicorn (for her hair, not so much the body). Lady Rainicorn was kind of a disaster since we did her last, we had to use what was left of the colored fondant, which was not a lot. Therefore, we didn’t have enough and it kinda turned out weird, but that’s okay since the hair was perfect and really distracted from her awful limbs and body. :)
For this we used:

  1. Funfetti Pilsbury cake mix
  2. Wilton’s premade white rolled Fondant
  3. Cream cheese whipped* frosting
  4. Food coloring (to change the color of the fondant)
  5. And lastly, various tools and sprinkles

Thanks for getting this far down this incredibly long post, you’re the first to know that I’m going to be having an End of the Year giveaway! I’m not going to be saying what I’m giving away yet BUT, expect that post towards the beginning of November. Like, November 2nd. That’s when it starts. Anyway, I hope you have a great day and a spooky Halloween! ♥

I love your costume! It looked like it’s a lot of fun to make. I don’t know yet what I wish to be for Halloween. I don’t even know if I will be anything, to be honest. It all depends on if I get that day off work and if I do, then a last minute costume will probably be the choice haha.

Those cupcakes turned out good! My little brother watches the show, so I know what you’re making. Even the unicorn creature looks good. Yummy.

It was fun to make, however my Halloween FAILED and I didn’t even get to dress up, so my costume was pointless. :( Guess I have one for next year.. What did you do for Halloween? :) Any plans for the coming up Holidays?

Haha, I love Adventure Time! Lumpy Space Princess is my favorite. They tasted okay. The fondant kinda tasted bland like if you make flour water goo stuff. :( That was a bummer, but they were pretty to look at!

Your costume looks really awesome so far! I can’t wait to see the final touches to it. :)
I wanted to go as someone from the renaissance this year but I didn’t have the money to spend on proper attire. xD

And your new hair color looks amazing! I’ve been wanting to get my hair dyed for quite some time now… and I was thinking about going from blonde to red or something like that. I’m not sure if it would look right on me, though.

And my friend would be extremely jealous of your cupcakes that you made! She is in love with that show. (I haven’t watched it yet. P:)

Anyways, just thought I would drop by and take care! <3

Thanks! I didn’t even get to add the final touches! It was pointless making this costume because I didn’t even go anywhere on Halloween like I had planned. Ugh, right?

You should dye it red! Like a firetruck red! That’s the best. I almost did that instead of the pink/purple, but I work at Target, it would have clashed with my ugly red Target shirts.

Your costume looks super cool! :) I went as a burlesque dancer type of person for Halloween. c: It was lovely, haha!

Halloween also has to be my favorite time of the year. My birthday is also the 10th of November. So, I love it. c: Haha.

Oooh, that sounds pretty! :) I got a costume and I didn’t even get to dress up on Halloween, it was a fail of a night. Oh well.
