First of all, I’d really like to apologize for basically being gone for over a month. I’ve been going through an incredibly lazy two months where I’ve done nothing but work and play video games. Seriously, anything that sounds like productivity is out of the question.. My room is a mess and I need to do laundry insanely bad. I promise I am going to get off that nonproductive bandwagon and hop back into routine. I guess what I needed was just a break. Blah.
Anywhooo, I started with a photoshoot today with my best friend, Erin. (Above) I’m really trying to widen my horizons and not do so many head shots. I’m trying to get into maybe some fashion shoots and stuff like that. I just want to fully develop my style if you know what I mean. After processing is the easy part, it’s just the shooting that’s being unreasonably difficult lately. I haven’t been shooting lately either (6+ months) so that could have something to do with it. I’m rusty, that’s it.
If you haven’t noticed, it’s been THREE WHOLE YEARS since ayevanity.com has been up. Happy Birthday to AV.COM! It’s been 3 wonderful years with my amazing friends here, and I’m looking forward to the many more to come. Because let’s face it, I’m not going anywhere. I’ve worked too hard and learned too much to let this beautiful site go to waste. <3
So on Saturday (4/20/13), a group of friends and I went to San Francisco. I am kinda lucky since it’s only about 30 minutes away from where we live in the Bay Area. We got tickets to see a bunch of people playing acoustic music. It was the lead singer from Rise Against and guests. I wasn’t really a fan of the music playing but since my friend had paid for me, I wasn’t going to turn down a free show. I didn’t bring my DSLR, I brought my backup camera, my Coolpix from when I was in highschool. That’s why I didn’t really get a lot of good shots. In fact, the only good shot I got is the one that you see above this text and it wasn’t even of the show. It’s of the city on our way there.
We got nachos, garlic fries, chicken nuggets and more fries. We like fries, what can we say? I wish I could have shown you those beastly nachos though. THEY WERE DELICIOUS.
So, guys, did you do anything fun over the weekend?
Hey guys! I know I haven’t really blogged in a while but now I have something to blog about! It was my best friend, Erin’s, 19th birthday and she wanted to have a legitimate tea party. Which, was pretty awesome. I didn’t get any shots of us baking all day before hand (that was a huge mess, good god) but I do have pictures of all the finished baked goods. We made Mini Quiches, a Deco Roll cake, Chocolate covered strawberries, Salad, Russian tea cakes, Soy Milk Donuts, Short bread cookies (chocolate dipped), Egg Salad sandwiches, and Cucumber sandwiches. It was a long hard day making all that shit, but it was well worth it, I promise. Not to mention we all got all dressed up in fancy dresses and I did all their make up, but enough about that, I’m sure you want to see some photos.
On Tuesday of last week (the 5th of Feb) my friends came over to my house randomly while I was making some hairbows and surprised me with a miniature girls night out. After that night we decided that every Tuesday or every other Tuesday we’d all get together and do it again. This is my first blog post about it since it was a really funny and interesting night.
First I went over to Emilee‘s house (blue shirt) to wait for Erin (blonde) and Cassidy (pony tail). Then we when Erin got there we went over to Walmart to pick up Cassidy from work (she actually works at In n’ Out but it’s next to Walmart here.
After we went to Walmart and took a bunch of stupid pictures we went downtown to a very interesting store. Went to Cassidy’s house up on a hill where you can see the whole town. Here are a couple of the photos from that night. The only ones that aren’t like really stupid and degrading. :P We finished off the night by going to In n’ Out for a shake and fries. It was really great. I love them to death.
Also, everyone- Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope your day is great! <3
So, it’s almost over. (Thank the heavens) Christmas this year, was .. interesting to say the least. I know it’s a time that you’re supposed to share with your family and friends, but I don’t know. I felt like being a hermit. x_x HOWEVER, I did have a couple parties I went to. :P The first one was an ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater party’, it was so funny. The second one was a birthday that was on the end of the world day. Enjoy these photos.
On Saturday, I had the opportunity to be the make up artist for a popular clothing brand’s latest photoshoot. Chelsea (the owner and girl with pink bangs) was really sweet and so were all the models. I did 7 out of 9 model’s makeup and there was this other really cool girl there who did hair. She was pretty awesome, too. The clothes were super cute and the Spring 2012 collection is Disney Princess themed. When the actual photos are released, I’ll post some so you can see how cool the clothes are. Her website is C.TA Glam Couture and this is her official facebook. You should check her out!
Hey guys, just thought I’d share this look I did. I really liked the way it turned out and it was really funny.
I was watching Ru Paul’s Drag Race and I came up with the idea for this. SO MANY Q-TIPS, seriously. It was really heavy, too. :| my eye was like drooping, haha. Oh yeah and washing it off.. I’m scared to. It will burn since I’m out of makeup remover and have to use soap. gsdhfkwerrwekfdshlwer. OUCHIES. Anyway, bye!
This cut crease eye look was inspired by Leesha at xsparkage.com and Christmas. I thought this was a great look to use for a Christmas party or a New Years party. The glitter really makes this look. What I did was I put down my base, then a black eyeliner (smudged) all over the lid. I put red eyeshadow all over the lid up to the crease. Then used a glitter eyeliner with a clear base to hold the glitter on.
